A mass Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic was held on Friday at ANC Governor's Ballroom with 120 vaccines given by 10:30 a.m. Linda Frazier said the goal for the day was to give a total of 300 shots. Five vaccination stations were arranged with a large area for registration. Pictured are Stephanie Michel taking her shot given by Tiffany Tildwell, RN with the Mississippi County Heath Unit. Arkansas Northeastern College is hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic today from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m, or while supplies last.

Vaccines are being given in the governor’s ballroom and are available at no expense, with no reservations needed.

“The numbers are going down but [Covid] hasn’t gone away. We all need to be protected against this virus that has taken so many lives even here, just in Mississippi County. For a county our size, anytime you go over 100 deaths, that’s a large number in addition to the number of people it affected in those families,” Blytheville Mayor James Sanders said in Facebook livestream announcement today.

Vaccine distribution is currently in Phase 1B including those 65 and older, food and agriculture workers, postal/package delivery services, public transit, etc. The full list of those eligible in Phase 1B can be found at the Arkansas Department of Health website.

Sanders also confirmed that there would be follow-up dates given at ANC for the second round of the vaccine following today’s dosage.
