Jimmy Dunavin, 75, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Jimmy was born in Gary, Ind., to James and Vera Warren Dunavin. He was a retired farmer and the former owner and operator of Highway 150 Boat Shop. Jimmy enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jimmy leaves his wife, Phyllis Keeling Dunavin of the home; three children, James Dunavin of Blytheville, Eric Dunavin and his wife Yolanda of Blytheville and Lellia Neel and her husband Joe of Rusk, Texas; two brothers, Johnny Dunavin of Paragould and Kenneth Dunavin of Trumann; three sisters, Sue Wheeler of Trumann, Betty Ford of Osceola and Christine Simpson of Trumann; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 16, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 80 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another. Face masks are required to enter the building and to be worn at all times.
