Mary Reese, 82, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Blytheville, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at her home in Memphis, where she lived with her niece and nephew, Jamey and Jr. Burcham.

Mary was born in Lacrosse to Emel and Eunice Sanders Davis. She lived in Blytheville for 55 years before moving to Memphis and was a member of Ruddle Road Church of God. Mary was a retired floral arranger and worked for many years at Lunsford’s Flower Shop, Price Chopper in the floral department and Wal-Mart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Reece; her parents; three brothers, Ray Davis, John Davis and Billy Davis; and four sisters, Ann Barton, Leona Huttenhower, Juanita Branan and Diane Davis.

Mary leaves four step-children, Mary Ann Bradford of Virginia Beach, Vir., Linda Mae Norris of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Melody C. Wright of Fayette, Ala., and Billy Reece of Blytheville; two sisters, Marie Johnson of Blountville, Tenn., and Betty Courtney of Pontiac, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Shania Burcham, Kierstyn Bell, Kaleb Bell and Kanyen Bell; and five step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Pankey officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 80 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another. Face masks are required to enter the building and to be worn at all times.
