Lula Mae Lewis

Lula Mae Lewis was born Feb. 17, 1933, in Bigbee Valley, Miss., to the late Edward Wells and the late Mary Sila Wells. She was a factory worker and was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Lewis passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock on Feb. 20, 2021, at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Wells, and her mother, Mary Sila Wells.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Lewis, Jr of Blytheville and James Lee Lewis of Albuquerque, N.M.; eight daughters, Mary Lewis Adell and Jessie Thomas, both of Jacksonville, Joe Ann Lewis of Albuquerque, N.M., Rose Lewis of Blytheville, Lynette Hollaway of Jacksonville, Paula Lewis, Lacey Washington, and Sandra Payne all of Scott; one brother, Robert Wells of Detroit, Mich.; one sister, Edna Mae Green of Chicago, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

The visitation was held Tuesday, March 2, 5-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 3, at 1 p.m.. at New St. Paul M.B. Church. The burial will be held at Gethsemane Memorial Cemetery in Blytheville. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville.
