Rev. Charles Jackson

Rev. Charles Jackson of Blytheville was born Aug. 9, 1949, Hermondale, Mo., to the late Henry Jackson and the late Josephine Rogers Jackson. He was a machinist and the minister for New Hope M.B. Church in Yarbro. Rev. Jackson passed away Feb.8, 2021, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 71. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Jackson; mother, Josephine Rogers Jackson; wife, Lulavine Lovelady Jackson; three brothers, Roosevelt Jackson, Henry Jackson, Jr. and L.C. Jackson; and one sister, Ella Mae Thompson.

He is survived by two sons, Brooklyn Lovelady and Freddie Lovelady, both of Blytheville; two daughters, Felicia Percival and Tokeyia Lovelady, both of Blytheville; one brother, Robert Jackson of Burdette; one sister, Juanita Pounds of Jackson, Mo.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Saturday, Feb. 13,from 9-10 a.m. at Mt. Moriah M.B. Church in Blytheville with the funeral immediately following at 10 a.m.. Pastor M.L. Smith officiated. The burial was held at New Hope Cemetery in Yarbro. Services were provided by Wilson Funeral Home, Blytheville.
