Aaron Nicholas Gawthrop

Aaron Nicholas Gawthrop was born in Franklin, Tenn., on July 22, 1999, to Betty Jane Johnson and Ricky Wayne Gawthrop. He was a 2017 graduate of Hayti High School. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Hayti, Mo.

He always made time for his friends and family and would often go out of his way to visit them as often as he could. He was an amateur sketch artist, often drawing Japanese manga characters. He loved all forms of games, video, and cards alike. He loved all animals, but especially cats and dogs. He worked at Burrito-Ville in Cape Girardeau, Mo., in 2019, where he made many friends and good memories. He enrolled in Job Corps in Puxico. Mo., in 2019 and had an interest in studying welding.

On Tuesday, Jan. 19, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported to the crash site one mile east of Fairdealing, Mo. He preceded his parents, Ricky Wayne Gawthrop and Betty Jane Johnson, in death. He leaves behind his loving parents, his brother Simon Brown, and his loyal dog Buddy.

Funeral services will be conducted by the John German Funeral Home in Hayti, Mo. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23, from noon to 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.

In accordance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as related to Covid-19 the practice of social distancing will be observed. Face masks are required to enter the building and must worn at all times.
