Sister Freddie Richardson-Taylor

Sister Freddie Richardson-Taylor was born Feb. 7, 1945, to the late Alonzo and Mattie Richardson in Blytheville. She was one of three children born to the Richardson marriage: Totise Paul, Freddie Taylor and Robert Mileage. Freddie departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age. At the age of seven, she united with True Light M.B. Church, Pastor Speight in Blytheville. She later moved her membership at the age of 14 to Jeremiah Temple, where she served until the age of 51. At the age of 51, she became a member of New Mt. Olive M.B. Church, Rev. Lawrence Echols. She was employed at United Peoples Coop in Osceola from 1970-1975. Afterwards, she was employed at Mississippi County EOC for over 40 years before her retirement.

In 1973, Freddie united in holy matrimony with Jessie Taylor. She was a proud mother of three children (two sons and one daughter).

She left to cherish her memories two sons, Reginald McNeal of Blytheville and Corey Taylor of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one daughter, Tamika Heard of Little Rock; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and church family.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m., at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home & Cremation, 634 W. Main Street, Blytheville. Graveside service and burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Garden Cemetery in Blytheville.
