Allen Franklin

Allen Franklin, 58, of Steele, Mo., passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Allen was born in Blytheville to Larry T. and Barbara Lucy Franklin. He was the owner of K&A Tire and Auto and attended Trinity Baptist Church. He served as the former youth pastor at Ruddle Road Church of God. Allen loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Fishers of Men and participated in all of the bass tournaments for St. Jude.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Allen leaves his wife, Kathleen Franklin of the home; three children, Emily Franklin of Austin, Texas, Billy Hardesty and his wife Rachel of Rogers and Brad Hardesty and his wife Erica of Blytheville; two brothers, Gary Joe Franklin of Martin, Tenn., and Tracy Franklin of Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Tonya Carnett of Holcomb, Mo.; and six grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held at Cobb Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Dogwood Mausoleum. A walk-through visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4-7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 50 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another. Face masks are required to enter the building and to be worn at all times.
