Virginia Lynn Woodall

Virginia Lynn Woodall, 64, of Leachville, passed from this life Friday, Dec. 25, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Ruth Henderson Woodall and had been a lifelong area resident. Virginia was a 1974 graduate of Manila High School and was a 1995 graduate of Arkansas State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. She was a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Fraternity where she served as State President. She was a former computer programmer for the American Snuff Company in Memphis and had worked several years at Wolverine Footwear formerly of Monette. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, ceramics and fishing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Danny Woodall, Ben Woodall, Alex Woodall and Herbert “Junior” Woodall; and one sister, Bobbie Travis.

Survivors include one brother, Leon “Woody” Woodall of Heber Springs; three sisters, Lida Mae Linder of Farmington, N.M., Anita Mitchell of Jepp and Lyda Ann Kelly of Doniphan, Mo.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral and Cremation Service in Leachville.
