Robert Ruiz

Robert Ruiz, 68, a lifelong resident of Tyronza, departed this earth Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020, at St. Bernards. He was born March 30, 1952 to Fortunato and Donna Ruiz.

Robert’s daughter and grandkids were his pride and joy - he loved to see them happy and that was very evident in his life. Robert never failed to make it to almost every single ballgame and school event, he loved taking the kids on adventures when they were younger, and even helped in teaching all three how to drive.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gloria (James) Sharpe; two brothers, Jimmy and Donald Ruiz; and one brother-in-law, Larry Rollins.

He leaves one daughter, Melissa (Don D.) Walton of Trumann; three sisters, Becky Rollins, Hope (Larry) Burdette and Marti Palmer; two brothers, Johnny and Hubert (Donna) Ruiz; sister-in-law Barbara Ruiz; and his beloved grandchildren, Jenny, Jackson and Julie Walton of Trumann. The family would also like to acknowledge precious neighbors and friends of Robert: Harold and Freda Kirk, Joe Cavitt and Barbara Ross.

A celebration of life was held Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. at Tyronza First Baptist Church.
