Kenny M. Burge, 58, of Blytheville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Kenny was born in Batesville to Neil Burge and Sissy Duncan Rogers. Kenny owned Burge’s Shoe Center and was extremely passionate about Blytheville and was very dedicated to serving his community. He has been a lifetime member of Gosnell Sports Booster Club as well as the BBSB Association. He was also and active member of the Mississippi County Razorback Club. Kenny’s professional accomplishments include serving on the Chamber of Commerce multiple times, serving on Main Street Blytheville Association, and winning the small business of the year award.

Kenny leaves his wife, Jennifer Burge of the home, as well as their two children, Alyssa Sands of Conway and Josh Sands of Gosnell. Kenny also leaves behind his father, Neil Burge and Theresa of Gosnell; his mother, Sissy Rogers of Pocahontas; two brothers, Keith Burge and his wife Inyoung of Pocahontas and Jon Bell of O’Fallon, Ill.; and one sister, Stephanie Bell McDaniel and her husband Marc of Jonesboro.

Friends and family are welcome at the visitation being held at Cobb Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 17, between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. A private family service will be held before Kenny is laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery.

In remembrance of Kenny and his love and dedication to his community, the family requests memorials be made to the scholarship fund that has been established in his name through Farmer’s Bank and Trust.

Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 50 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another. Face masks are required to enter the building and to be worn at all times.
