Mamie L. Jennings McBride

Mamie L. Jennings McBride of Blytheville was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Holland, Mo., to the late Clyde Jennings and the later Alberta Garden Jennings. She was a homemaker as well as a member of Revival Center. Mrs. McBride passed away Dec. 8, 2020, at Heritage Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Blytheville at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Jennings; her mother, Alberta Garden Jennings; husband, Freddie McBride; and one son, Edward Lewis Jennings.

She is survived by five sons, Samuel L. McBride of Dyersburg, Tenn., Terry J. McBride and Larry D. McBride, both of Blytheville, Freddie McBride, Jr. of St. Louis, Mo., and Fred McBride of Decatur, Ill.; two daughters, Mamie J. Jackson of Elkhart, Ind., and Pearline McBride of Decatur, Ill.; four sisters, Bernice Banks of Lafayette, Ind., Teresa Brown of St. Paul, Minn., Robbie Bobo of Sacramento, Calif., and Barbara Holman of Elkhart, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 18, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville with Rev. Albert Dyer officiating. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home.
