Shirley Ann Britnell of Trumann departed this life Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 82 years, 3 months, and 7 days. She was born in Ensign, Kan., and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a factory worker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Atkins, and one sister, Sue Fike.

She is survived by her husband, James Britnell of the home; two daughters, Michelle (Timothy) Wood and Kim (Roger) Forbus, both of Trumann; her mother, Inez Atkins of Jonesboro; one brother, Ricky (Amanda) Atkins of Trumann; two sisters, Betty (Joe) Scott of Jonesboro and Birdie Prentice of Marysville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Magan (Jared) Walker, Lee (Zoe) Forbus, Morgan Kitchens, Hannah Wood, Heather (Chase) Exum and Hailey Wood; eight great-grandchildren, Rylee Wilson, Nathan Walker, Addilyn Reeves, Casen Exum, Lyla Forbus, Isabella Mathenia, Caroline Exum and Beckett Walker.

A Celebration of Life was Dec. 5 at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Ricky Dobbins officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Lee Forbus, Shawn Blanchard, Jared Walker, David Fagan and Chevy Sullivan. In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing was required along with face masks and the signing of a COVID-19 form.
