Bertha Ruth Mansell, 89, of Leachville, widow of Jack Mansell, passed from this life Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville, Feb. 19, 1931, to the late James Walter and Hazel Eubanks Church, she had lived several years in the Dexter, Mo., area before returning to Leachville in 1964. She had worked as a sales clerk for the former Wheeler Furniture Company, the Atkeison clothing store, and Leachville Drugs before retiring in 2000. An avid reader, she also enjoyed working word find puzzles, going to flea markets and collecting glasswear. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Leachville. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. 

Survivors include one son, Joseph "Dewayne" Cornelison (Ann) of Leachville; three daughters, Diana Nance of Paragould, Becky Ledford (Boyce) of Jonesboro and Betty Jo Eldried (Tommy) of Leachville. She also leaves eight grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. 

Graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, in the Leachville Cemetery with Pastor David Price officiating. Honorary pallbearers will include grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
