Luegean Ford

Luegean Ford was born Jan. 2, 1945, in Birdsong to Gertrude Garrett Collins. Luegean departed this life Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at Mississippi County Hospital in Osceola at the age of 75. She was preceeded in death by her mother.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Krista Smith of Osceola, Chevaun Smith of Jonesboro and Renarda Ford of Luxora; four sons, Victor Smith of Burlington, Iowa, Corey Smith of Grady, Jeremiah Smith Sr. of Memphis, Tenn., and James Ford III of Burlington, Iowa; six sisters, Mary Garrett and Jessie Stout, both of Burlington, Iowa, Littie Garrett of Osceola, Opal Turner of West Memphis, Brenda Speed of Benton and Gwendolyn Garrett of Inman, S.C.; three brothers, Rev. Earvan Garrett of Marianna, Tykel Robinson and Michael Depriest, both of Osceola; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10:00-11:45 a.m., at Zion Chapel Church in Luxora. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 (noon) at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette.

Due to COVID-19, face masks are required to be worn and practice social distance.
