J.A. McCormick of Blytheville was born March 21, 1930, in Kewanee, Mo., to the later Milton McCormick and the late Maggie Olean Roberts McCormick. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War as well as a factory worker, he was also a member of the Yarbro Baptist Church. Mr. McCormick passed away Nov. 8, 2020, at Gosnell Health Care in Gosnell at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton McCormick; his mother, Maggie Olean Robinson McCormick; two brothers, Atlas McCormick and Williams McCormick; and one sister, Virgie Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Inez McCormick; his son, Billy (Kim) McCormick of Blytheville; one daughter, Terry Calhoun of Moncks Corner, S.C.; one brother, Robert McCormick of Blytheville; one sister, Mary Wagner of Blytheville; four grandchildren, Amber Counts and Dustin McCormick, both of Jonesboro, Jared Calhoun of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Sarah Kirby of Moncks Corner, S.C.; and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, 10 a.m., at Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville with Bro. Rick Robbins officiating. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
