Blonetta Virginia Brown, 95, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Virginia was born in Harrisburg to William and Frankie Ray Wyatt. She was a homemaker and was also a substitute teacher at Robinson School. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Virginia was always lending a helping hand to others in need. She volunteered for the Red Cross for over 15 years and at the Mississippi County and Baptist Hospitals. She served as a commissioner for the Housing Authority for several years and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Virginia loved to sew and enjoyed sewing quilts, baby quilts, key chains and Christmas ornaments. Virginia loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Richard Brown; and her parents.

Virginia leaves four children, Terry Brown of Atchison, Kan., Betty Bass and her husband Norman of Omaha, Neb., Jeanette Mason and her husband Ronnie of Jonesboro and Anita Brown Dennis of Blytheville; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and an honorary daughter, Wanda Thompson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 100 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another.
