Ribbon-cutting for Chickasaw Arena

Blytheville superintendent Bobby Ashley cuts the ribbon Thursday on the 2,200-seat Chickasaw Arena. The venue will hold up to 3,000. Among those on hand for the ceremony were Rep. Monte Hodges and Rep. Johnny Rye, Blytheville Mayor James Sanders, Blytheville City Councilman and former Chickasaw basketball star John Musgraves, Blytheville School board members Billy Fair, Carlony Lewis, Tobey Johnson and Tracey Ritchey, former athletic director/ longtime Chickasaw boys coach David Hixson, as well as representatives with Baldwin and Shell and Chickasaw supporters.
