Alice Ethelene Coyle Powell

Alice Ethelene Coyle Powell, 86, of Hickory, N.C., formerly of Lepanto, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, at Trinity Village in Hickory, N.C.

Born Sept. 14, 1934, in Caraway, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie Long Coyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lendon Powell; and two sons, Lendon E. Powell and Jerry Powell. Alice was a member of First Baptist Church in Lepanto.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Powell and wife Miriam of Hickory, N.C., Kenny Powell of Lepanto; grandchildren, Paul Powell of Hickory, N.C., Lauren Powell of Washington, D.C., Brandon Powell of Osceola, Matt Powell of Springdale, Bindy Latino of Berrien Center, Mich.; daughter-in-law, Nena Powell of Berrien Center, Mich.; niece, Rhonda Sanders of Lepanto; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
