Barbara Jean Spencer

Barbara Jean Spencer, 75, of Leachville, widow of Tommy Spencer, passed from this life Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Ray and Syble Corene Adams Roberts and had been a lifelong Leachville area resident. She was a homemaker and truly enjoyed taking care of her family, cross stitching and reading. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Tracy Spencer Lasater; one son, Danny Spencer; one grandson, Landon Ray Spencer and her sister, Betty Virginia Roberts.

Survivors include three sons, Timothy Spencer, Don Spencer and wife Nancy, all of Leachville, and Shawn Spencer and wife Hidda of Jonesboro; two daughters, Tammy Spencer Jackson and husband Chris and Regina Spencer Meacham and husband Billy, all of Leachville; one brother, Raymond Roberts of Saint Joseph, Mich. She also leaves 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Joint graveside funeral services with her son will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the Leachville Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Crider officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Howard Funeral Service. In compliance with state guidelines and the request of the family, face masks must be worn and social distancing must be practiced at all times.
