Hayse Leon Daniels

Hayse Leon Daniels, 94, of Jonesboro and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at his home.

Hayse was born in Pottsville, to Leonard and Hazel Hoffstetter Daniels. He was a retired farmer and worked for Haynes Farm in Yarbro. Hayse served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Yarbro Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Daniels; his parents; three brothers, J.D. Daniels, Harold Daniels and L.D. Daniels; and one sister, Maxine Standridge.

Hayse leaves two children, Ronnie Daniels and his wife Jerri of Memphis and Debra Davison and her husband Paul of Jonesboro; two brothers, Billy Daniels of Jonesboro and Bruce Daniels of Auburn, Ala.; one sister, Mary Weidman of Rogers; six grandchildren, Adam Daniels and his wife Emily, Sr. Msgt. Joshua Daniels and his wife Heather, Ret. TSgt., Lucas Daniels, Nick Lancaster, Alyssa Lancaster and Andrew Lancaster; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 100 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another.
