Susan Jeanette Gillette

Susan Jeanette Gillette, 70, of Little Rock, formerly of Leachville, widow of Phillip Gillette, passed from this life Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at The Springs of Batesville. Born and raised in Leachville, she was the daughter of Charles Edward and Mildred Williams Wells and had been a Little Rock resident for 40 years. Before retirement Susan had worked in the accounting department for Dyke Industries in Little Rock for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing guitar and piano, reading and traveling. Susan was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Lynn Johnson.

Survivors include her sons, Bryan Gillette of Higden and Chris Gillette (Kristen) of Greenbrier; her brother, Jim Wells of Paragould. She also leaves three grandchildren, Nicholas Gillette, Brendan Gillette and Maverick Gillette.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Howard Funeral Service chapel in Leachville with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. The family will receive visitors Sunday from noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In compliance with state guidelines, face masks must be worn in the building at all times and social distancing must be practiced. Online guest register at www.howardfuneralservice.com
