Curtis Wilson, 90, of Gosnell, formerly of Luxora, died Sept. 23, 2020, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. He was retired from Corp of Engineers, Army WWII veteran, 60 plus years member of Mt. Zion MB Church and a deacon. Mr. Wilson was born Feb. 18, 1930, in Helena, to Anna Franklin. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Anna Franklin (Jessie) Woods; his wife, Mary Evelyn Byrd Wilson; three sons, Clyde Kirkham, Eddie Byrd and Jessie Byrd; two daughters, Wanda Williams and Margaret Jane Howard.

He is survived by five sons, Orbeney Wilson (Mary Ann) of Victorville, Calif., Dwight Byrd Wilson of Gosnell, Mel Wilson of Blytheville, Tony Byrd Wilson (Felecia) of Luxora and Dion Wilson (Audrey) of Little Rock; one daughter, Kim Bryant (Terrell) of Pine Bluff; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Wilson Funeral home in Osceola. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Zion Chapel MB Church in Luxora. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Rev. Melvin Taylor officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
