Rosie Mae Johnson

Rosie Mae Johnson was born Jan. 13, 1940, to Odell and Lilly Mae Brown in Osceola.

Rosie met and married the love of her life Isadore Johnson in 1961. Rosie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and attended Nehemiah Temple COGIC; where she served on the mother board under the late Pastor David Corns.

Rosie always enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Rosie loved God and her family. She loved cooking for her family and going to church. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 23. She also loved sewing and gardening and she never met a stranger that she didn’t want to feed. Rosie had a heart of gold.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Isadore Johnson, a son Jeffrey Johnson, a sister Earnestine Jefferson, and three brothers, Thomas Odell Brown, James Mack Brown and Harvey Buddy Brown.

Rosie began her journey into eternity on Aug. 23, 2020, in Houston Texas.

She leaves to cherish precious memories of her, children, Isadore Johnson Jr., Diane (Frank) Ayers, Paul (Bobbie) Johnson, Peggy Soward, Jamie (Kashala) Johnson, Rosalind Johnson, Anthony Johnson and Erick Jones. She also leaves behind a brother, Robert T (Jessie) Brown, and a sister, Carrie Lee (Robert ) Betts. Rosie also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Rosie will be greatly missed but she will forever be in our hearts.

Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, with funeral service immediately following. Both services will be held at Nehemiah Temple COGIC 121 W McHaney Blytheville.
