Suzanne Smith

Suzanne Smith, 73, of Manila, passed from this life Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late Cohen and Margaret Burke Brooks and had been a lifelong Manila resident. Suzanne was a 1965 graduate of Manila High School and had been employed as the office manager at NER Data Products, formerly of Blytheville. She retired in 2014 from the Arkansas Employment Security Division office in Blytheville after nine years of service. She enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions. Suzanne was a member of the Manila First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph "Joey" Brooks.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Michael Smith of the home; her son, Christopher Stuck and his wife Deanna of Leachville; two stepsons, Michael E. Smith and his wife Cathy of Manila and David S. Smith and his wife "Sam" of Lepanto; two sisters, Donna Walls and Sonja McCormick, both of Manila. She also leaves seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral and Cremation Service in Manila. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
