Dee Ceasar Smith, Sr.

Dee Ceasar Smith, Sr. of Blytheville was born March 21, 1953, in Joiner to Essie Lee Smith and the late Dewitt Smith. He was a factory worker and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Smith passed away Aug. 16, 2020, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville at the age of 67. He is preceded in death by his father, Dewitt Smith; his wife, Carla Smith; eight sisters, Annie Lee Osborne, Archie Lee Smith, Essie Lee Smith, Lee Bertha McClair, O’neal Jordon, Dora Mae Smith, Rosena Owens and Elnora Smith.

He is survived by his mother, Essie Lee Smith of Blytheville; one son, Dee Smith, Jr. of Blytheville; one daughter, Brandy Smith of Blytheville; three brothers, Timmie Lee Smith of Blytheville, Alexander Smith of Decatur, Ala., and Raymond Smith of Blytheville; six sisters, Mary Ann Smith of Blytheville, Luella “Ebb” Cooper of Cincinnati, Ohio, Hattie Mae (Robert) Malone of Lebanon, Mo., Sandra Ann Johnson and Sherry Lynn Williams, both of Valdosta, Ga., and Laverne Smith of Blytheville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, with the funeral held at 10 a.m. the following day, Saturday, Aug. 22, also at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Burial will be held in Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Burdette. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
