Glin Mays

Glin Mays, 71, of Bytheville, passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2020 at his home.

Glin was born in Blytheville to Eugene “Jack” and Karla Boone Mays. As a young boy, Glin had the Main Street Courier News route during which he wore out 30 bicycles, and he was once named newspaper carrier of the year. After his time delivering newspapers, Glin went to work at Burger Broil. Later he went on to work at Bush Canning Company where he retired. Glin loved the Lord and was a lifelong and faithful member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. He loved his church and the church recently recognized Glin for being longest attending member of their church congregation.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Martha Kelley; and nephew, Billy Cline.

Glin leaves two sisters, Jean Webb of Athens, Tenn., and Nita Harris of Blytheville; two nephews, Joel Webb and Josh Cline; and one niece, Kayci Wilcox.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Cemetery in Elbridge, Tenn. There will be no visitation.
