Braiden Scott Presley, 12, of Trumann departed this life Thursday, Aug., 6, 2020, in Trumann. He was born in Jonesboro and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was endearing to everyone that he met because of his infectious smile and generous, loving heart. He was an amazing athlete and an outstanding left-handed pitcher. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding his dirt bike, swimming, time at the lake and making memories with family and friends. He enjoyed harmless mischief, joking with those he knew as well as he never met stranger. Braiden would have been a seventh grader at Trumann Public School and was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Randy Gilpin, and uncle, Eric Presley.

He is survived by his parents, Brandon Scott and Latoshia Michelle Gilpin Presley; one brother, Cullen Presley of the home; one sister, Adalyn Presley of the home; and his grandparents, George and Linda Presley of Jonesboro and Roxy Gilpin of Trumann.

Visitation was Sunday, Aug. 9, at the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Trumann. A Celebration of Life will be Monday, Aug. 10, at Calvary Pentecostal Church with Brother Ricky Forbis officiating. Burial will follow at the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Because of COVID-19 regulations, social distancing will be followed.

Active pallbearers are Terry Matney, Brandon McLaughlin, Gaven Guy, Tyler Goldy, Jonathon Forbis and James Presley. Honorary pallbearers are Lynden Davis, Brayden McLaughlin, Brodie Popejoy, Devon Smithson, Lawson Rouse and Case Willbanks.
