Emily Hartgraves

Emily Hartgraves, 50, of Steele, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020, at her home.

Emily was born in Garden City, Mich., to Otis and Florabell Harwood Gifford and was a 1989 graduate of Manila High School. She was a former security guard at Nucor Yamato and was of the Baptist faith. Emily enjoyed reading and she loved her cats. Emily’s family was special to her and she loved spending quality time with everyone in her family. Her husband Larry was the love of her life and she loved him like he had never been loved before.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; and her uncle, Robert Harwood, Sr.

Emily leaves her loving husband, Larry of the home; three children, Marciana McGraw of Steele, Katie Nieft of Colorado and Kyle Nieft of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Henry Shaw and his wife Barbara of Muldrow, Okla., and Wayne Shaw of Blytheville; and four sisters, Laura Haddock and her husband Brock of Caraway, Mary Woods and her husband Joshua of Hot Springs, Flora Webb and her husband Jeremy of Paragould and Sara Rodriguez and her husband Frank of Hot Springs.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 29, at 3 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Scercy officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home.

Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 100 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home at one time and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another.
