Ethel Jean Whitfield Fowler

Ethel Jean Whitfield Fowler of Blytheville was born July 9, 1953, in Greenwood, Miss., to the late Charlie Whitfield and late Ella B. Hudson Whitfield. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Church of Christ Church in Blytheville. Mrs. Fowler passed away July 18, 2020, at her residence in Blytheville at the age of 67. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Whitfield; her mother, Ella B. Hudson Whitfield; and four brothers, Darrel Whitfield, Johnny Whitfield, Lennon Whitfield and Charlie Whitfield. She is survived by her husband, Quincy Fowler of Blytheville; four sons, Quincy Whitfield of Grand Rapids, Mich., Steve Whitfield of Jonesboro, David Fowler of Blytheville and Joshua Fowler (Keuna), also of Jonesboro; two daughters, Songela Williams and Kizzie Lucas (Vancell Jr.), both of Blytheville; one brother, Charles Whitfield of Brinkley; six sisters, Ruby Whitfield, Rosetta Fowler, LeDora Jenkins, all of Blytheville, Georgia Thompson and Ola Mae McKinney, both of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Emma (Andrew) Harris of Blytheville; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 24, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, with the funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at the Holy Temple Church in Blytheville, Bishop Vancell Lucas officiating. The burial will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery in Blytheville. In compliance with the CDC, the Governor, and the Arkansas Funeral Director Association, due to the COVID-19 virus , all public gatherings of more than 100 people held indoors are prohibited and face masks are required.
