Floyd H. Weems, Jr.

Floyd H. Weems, Jr., 80, of Trumann passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at NEA Baptist Hospital, Jonesboro. He was born July 3, 1940, in Jonesboro to Floyd H. and Lou Donal Matthews Weems. He was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church in Trumann, proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1959–1961, was a member of the Shriners for 30 plus years, an expert machinist and enjoyed fishing and bowling, which he won many trophies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Survivors include one son, Resource Officer for Bay School, Eddie Patrick Weems of Trumann; one daughter, Ladonna Lee Weems-Blair of Russellville; grandchildren, Kristen, Dale, Latisha and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Adeline; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services will be today at 1 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery, Alexander.

In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, face mask or other facial coverings are required, social distancing will be observed, and the signing of a COVID-19 Acknowledgment form will be required.
