Turner McDay, 97, of Osceola, died May 8, 2020, at Gosnell Healthcare in Gosnell. He was a retired farmer, a resident of Mississippi County for over 70 years and a WWII U.S. Army veteran. Mr. McDay was born Dec. 25, 1922 in Belzoni, Miss., to Chester McDay and Nellie Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by four sons, James (Leslie) McDay of Toledo, Ohio, Patrick (Rebecca) England and Anthony McDay of Osceola and Glenn (Sandra) McDay of Blytheville; three daughters, Lois Gallegos of Questo, N.M., Mary (Samuel) Collins and Vera (Timothy) Talley of Osceola; 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola, with Elder Henry Brown officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
