Mattie Irene Whitright

Mattie Irene Whitright, 79, of Stevensville, Mich., passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Hanson Hospice in St. Joseph, Mich. Mattie was born Nov. 19, 1940, in Trumann to Conrid and LaDell (Cassiday) Tucker. She married Howard William Whitright at 23 and lived the rest of her life in southwestern Michigan. Mattie was a licensed nurse practitioner for over 30 years; her work was her life and she did it well. But more importantly, Mattie loved her family and friends and they will miss her dearly.

Mattie is survived by her children, Howard (Gene) Whitright and Irieta (Bill Martin) Badgwell; four grandchildren; and her sister, Elizabeth Price of Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard William Whitright, 10 siblings, and her parents.

Cremation services have taken place and a graveside service will take place at a later date.
