Rhonda Lee Ford, 59, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, May 8, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Rhonda was born in Cleveland, Miss., to Charles and Carolyn Hogan Slaughter. She worked as a clerk at Paul Newell’s Collision Center for 16 years and Farmer’s Insurance Company for 23 years. Rhonda was a fantastic seamstress and could sew almost anything. Rhonda enjoyed the outdoors and loved animals. You could usually find her gardening or in the swimming pool with her dogs. She was a very sincere, kind and plain-spoken person.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Kirby and Charles Slaughter, Jr.

Rhonda leaves her husband, Keith Ford of the home; father and mother-in-law, Charles “Sonny’ and Ruth Garner; and her fur babies, Charlie, Chole, Casper, Sox and Bear.

Graveside services were held Monday, May 11, at 3:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with Dr. Ron Wilcoxson officiating. The family received friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines for the visitation, no more than 10 people were allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home at one time and practice social distancing, keeping a six-foot distance between one another. Face masks were strongly encouraged. COVID-19 guidelines for the graveside service read that social distancing must be maintained in an unenclosed space.
