Police hunt Crawford in Daniels murder

Blytheville police are looking for Correy Crawford, 26, of Blytheville in connection with Saturday night's slaying of 27-year-old Demarcus Daniels on Tennessee Street.

According to BPD CID commander Capt. John Frazier, Crawford is wanted for capital murder and aggravated robbery.

According to BPD assistant police chief Ricky Jefferson, around 9:42 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 400 block of Tennessee to investigate the shooting.

"Upon arrival at the scene officers discovered a male subject, later found to be named Demarcus Daniels, 27 years of age, suffering from a gunshot wound," Jefferson said. "Pafford Ambulance Service transported Daniels to the Great River Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries."
