Shawna Janiece Sickels Meherg

Shawna Janiece Sickels Meherg, 47, of Etowah, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Creve Coeur, Mo., she had been a Manila resident since 1982 and had worked as a machinist for the former Fruit of the Loom factory in Osceola. Shawna was preceded in death by a brother, Bryan Sickels in 2011.

Survivors include her husband, Joey Meherg of Etowah; one son, Brett Iliff of Manila; two daughters, Brooke Hanson of Ripley, Miss., and Cheyanne Meherg of Etowah; one stepdaughter, Natoshia Ellis of Paragould. She also leaves her parents, Frank and Sandra Joyce Smith Sickels of Manila; three sisters, Tonia Shilharvey of Manila, Connie Strader of Sulphur Rock and Angie Ashabranner of Manila; one granddaughter, Emma Grace Hanson.
