Blytheville man shot to death; found in car on East Rose

Blytheville police are investigating the shooting death of 30-year-old Ryan Wright of Blytheville who was found dead inside a vehicle in the 1400 block of East Rose, Saturday night.

"On March 21st, 2020 officers of the Blytheville Police Department responded to the 1400 block of East Rose in reference to an unresponsive person sitting in a vehicle on the side of the road," BPD Capt. John Frazier said in a press release. "Upon arrival officers found 30-year-old Ryan Wright, of Blytheville, deceased inside the vehicle from an apparent gunshot wound. The evidence in this case suggests that Mr. Wright knew, or was at least familiar with the shooter and this is not a random act against him. This case is being investigated as a homicide and detectives are trying to learn Mr. Wright's whereabouts leading up to this incident."

Wright was employed at Blytheville Waterworks.

"This was not related to those duties or at least we have no evidence to suggest that," Frazier said.
