April McKinney

April McKinney, 36, of Blytheville passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was born Jan. 2, 1984, in Blytheville to Victor McKinney and Rose Smith. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. April was graduate of Blytheville High School.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.P. and Mary Smith, uncle, Jesse Junearick, and aunts, Lorene Smith and Shirley Mouton.

April leaves to cherish her loving memories sons, LaBron Wells and Landon Merriweather, both of the home; her mother, Rose (Frederick) Wilson of Blytheville; her father, Victor (Vickie) McKinney, also of Blytheville; a sister, Lawanda (Latron) Taylor of Blytheville; one brother, Kinard McKinney of Blytheville; her grandmother, Mrs. Fonzetta (Eddie) Booker, also of Blytheville; nieces, Shy’elle Taylor, Tyreona Taylor, and Kyrelle Taylor, all of Blytheville; a nephew, Jayceon McChristian, also of Blytheville; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 20, from 5-7 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 920 South Lake Street, Blytheville, where Reverend Bobby Patterson serves as pastor.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, at 12:00 noon at Prince of Peace Church, 501 East McHaney Street, where Minister Terrell Rogers is the pastor. Pastor Tim Rogers will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
