Jackie Lynn Cook, 67, of Dell, passed from this life Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at her home. Born in Memphis, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Harold and Eula Jones Minyard and had been a longtime resident of California before making her home in Dell 11 years ago. She returned to school later in life and was a 1992 graduate of Central Union High School in Fresno, Calif. Her compassion and love for the elderly was evident in her profession as a home healthcare provider. She was a devoted homemaker and attended First Baptist Church in Dell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and two sisters, Raydene Minyard and Jo Anne Jones.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, John Cook of the home; three sons, Marc McLendon (Jenny) of Fresno, Calif., James McLendon (Karen Gravenish) of Rapid City, S.D., John Cook, Jr. of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Michelle Cook of Fresno, Calif.; a "special sister" Bonnie Elia of Madera, Calif. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with one on the way.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at the Howard Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel in Manila. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service.
