Ike Lee Caruthers, Jr., 61, of Osceola, died Jan. 15, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was the manager at the Shell station in Osceola, 33 year member of Bethel Church in Osceola, pastored Apostolic House of Worship in Turrell for one year, former Sunday school teacher at Bethel Church and prison ministry at ADC in Osceola. Mr. Caruthers was born Jan. 9, 1959, in Osceola to Ike Lee and Emma Jean Strode Caruthers, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Earl Henry Caruthers and Lee Otis Coleman; one sister, Oypere Ursery; and one grandchild, Rashad Hardaway.

He is survived by his mother, Christine Garth of Jonesboro; his wife, Kelia Caruthers of Osceola; one son, Ike Lee Caruthers, III of Osceola; two daughters, Tanjaneca (Stephen) Payne of Memphis, Tenn., and Taneisha (Eric) Hardaway of Jonesboro; one brother, Bobby Lee Caruthers of Atlanta, Ga.; five sisters, Linda Faye Caruthers, Mary McNeal and Ruthie Caruthers of Osceola, Essie Caruthers of Olive Branch, Miss., and Shirley Murray of Augusta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Bethel Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Bro. Phillip Tidwell officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
