Robert Edward Jones “Hobo”

Robert Edward Jones “Hobo” was born March 26, 1960, to Jimmy Jones of Wynne and the late Jimmie Doris Jones. He was a factory worker and a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Jones passed away on Jan. 13, 2020, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 59. He was preceded in death by his mother Jimmie Doris Jones, one brother Larry Joe Moore and one sister Brenda Johnson.

He is survived by his father Jimmy Jones of Wynne; one son Robert E. Lee Jones of St. Louis, Mo.; three godsons, Tony Howard, Lacy Gumby, Jr. and James Newbern; one brother Tony Ray Miller of Detroit , Mich.; six sisters, Jerry Jordan of Lancaster, Calif., Loretta (Donald) Brooks of Blytheville, Shirley Jones of Moreno Valley, Calif., Alma (Terence) Gahie of Blytheville and Melissa Jones and Catrenia Jones, both of Lancaster, Calif.

The visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at True Light Baptist Church in Blytheville with Pastor David Clark officiating. The burial will be held at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
