Violet Jane Walker Pannell

Violet Jane Walker Pannell was born June 16, 1940, in St. Louis, Mo., to the late George K. Politte and the late Patricia Wooten Politte. She was a factory worker and a member of Keiser First Baptist Church in Keiser. Mrs. Pannell passed away on Dec. 19, 2019, at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 79.

Mrs. Pannell was preceded in death by her father, George K. Politte; her mother, Patricia Wooten Politte; her first husband, Lesley F. Walker; her second husband, Bill Pannell; two brothers, Clarence Politte and George Politte; one sister, Clara Politte Zoellner; and one great-grandson, Ayden Roy Sharp. She is survived by her son, Lesley F. (Frankie) Walker, Jr. of Blytheville; four daughters, Patty Gable of Gosnell, Kaye (Keith) Diffee of Joiner, Chrissie Walker of Luxora and Janie (Patrick) Leathers of Gulf Port, Miss.; one brother, Edger Politte of St Louis, Mo.; one sister, Ruth Mosblech of St Louis, Mo.; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 20, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Burial will be held the following day Dec. 21, at 2 p.m., also at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Vinson officiating. The burial will be held at Louise Chapel in Joiner. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
