Leo Archie Brewer

Leo Archie Brewer, 68, of Caraway, passed from this life Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born near the Milligan Ridge community, he was the son of the late Robert and Flossie England Brewer and had been a longtime Caraway resident. In 2017, he retired from Thomas & Betts Manufacturing Company, formerly of Jonesboro, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing his guitar. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Black Oak.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Elden Brewer and Herbert Brewer, and one sister, Demetra Pearson.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Mrs. Flora Rhodes Brewer of the home; his son, Austin Brewer of the home; his daughter, Misty Everett of Holly Grove; five brothers, Doyle Brewer of Jonesboro, Jackie Brewer of Bono, Bobby Brewer of Caraway, Charlie Brewer of Osceola and Otis "Tode" Brewer of Lake City. He also leaves two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at New Hope Baptist Church in Black Oak with Reverend Linda Brewer officiating. The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral and Cremation Service of Manila.
