Betty Ruth Crouch
Betty Ruth Crouch, 72, of Hornersville, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was an amazing person inside and out. Bett touched and inspired so many lives with her kindness. She was known for always lending a helping hand and checking on elderly neighbors in the community.
Bett was married to her best friend and soulmate Gerald Crouch for 50 years. While she had many accomplishments during her life, what she was most proud of was her family. The family dinner table was always full of life and laughter. Bett was widely known as an extraordinary cook and always fed any guest, family or friend. No one ever left her house hungry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Henry Sr and Ruth (Roberts) Beard; three brothers, Calvin Henry Beard Jr., Michael Dewayne Beard and James Earl Beard; two sisters, Doris Evelyn Beard and Shirley May Durbin.
Bett is survived by her husband, Gerald Crouch of Hornersville, Mo.; two sons, Randy Dewayne Crouch of Huntsville, Ala., and Bradley Gerald (Cindy) Crouch of Manila; two daughters, Cynthia Leann (David) Chilton of Cardwell, Mo., and Ginger Lanae Followell of Hornersville, Mo.; honorary child, Jill Crawford (Matt) Shell of Seymour, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; one brother, Johnny Merl (Joann) Beard of St. Louis, Mo.; and one sister , Mary Ann Ridings of Hornersville, Mo. She also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.
