William Danny “Boone” Skelton

William Danny (Boone) Skelton 69, of Half Moon left this life on Nov. 10, 2019. Danny was born Dec. 29, 1949, in Blytheville to John William and Mary Ellen Skelton. Danny graduated from Dell High School in 1968. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served three tours in Vietnam. After his military service, Danny worked as an auto body mechanic and construction worker until his health failed.

Danny leaves behind six children, four of which was with wife Donna, Robin Skelton of Memphis, Tenn., Rhonda (Jeremiah) Binkard of Lebanon, Tenn., Danny (Rachel) Skelton of Half Moon, Terry (Connie) Skelton of Clint, Utah; and Ellen (Scotty) Johnson of Gosnell and Craig Skelton of Blytheville from his previous marriage. Danny also leaves behind his loving sister, Cathy (Bill) Huddleston, of Dell and his brother, Gary Skelton, of Half Moon. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Kay Skelton, son John Michael Skelton, sister Jeanette Skelton, brother David Skelton, and his parents, John “Fat” and Mary Ellen Skelton.

There will be a memorial service honoring Danny from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at The Dell Community Center in Dell.
