Willie Blackmon Jr.

Willie Blackmon Jr. was born Oct. 31, 1959, to the Willie Blackmon Sr. and Rosie Mae House, in Little Rock. Willie departed this life Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville at the age of 59. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Charles Ward, and one brother, Eddie B. Rucker.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 27 years, Barbara Blackmon of Blytheville; four sons, Willie Blackmon III of Jonesboro, Darren Andrews, Roma ”Pete” King and Samuel “Lil Pop” Allen; six daughters, Leigh Lewis, Belinda Lester, Candra Leachman, Kizzy King, Julie Allen and Tyisha Stewart; one sister, Gladys Thomas; one brother, Lloyd Wayne Blackmon; 19 grandchildren that he loved and a host of other family member and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home & Cremations. Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Open Door House of Prayer Church. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery.
