Teddy Don Cochran

Teddy Don Cochran, 80, of Dyess, formerly of Leachville, passed from this life Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville, he was the son of the late Basil and Mable Atwood Cochran and had been a longtime resident of Memphis, Tenn. While in Memphis, he was the owner/operator of Dunlap Street Used Auto Parts. Since returning to northeast Arkansas in 2007, he has been affiliated with Osceola Iron and Metal Recycling Company. Ted enjoyed working, spending time around the shop and was a member of New Life Tabernacle in Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Cochran and wife Lea and Ted Cochran and wife Kay, all of Dyess; three daughters, Donna Sledge of Memphis, Tenn., Cheryl Cochran of Hesperia, Calif., Patricia Brough of Frenchman’s Bayou. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at New Life Tabernacle in Wilson with Pastor Keith Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. Grandsons woll serve as pallbearers. The family will receive visitors Tuesday morning from 11 until service time.
