Robert E. Armstrong was Oct. 9, 1932, in Montezuma, Tenn., to late Earl Toney Armstrong and Annie Mae Armstrong. The second of three siblings, Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Dean, father, Robert Armstrong, stepmother, Laura Armstrong, son, Robert Earl Armstrong Jr., and his brother, Nelson Armstrong.

Robert dedicated his life to Jehovah in 1982 and became one of Jehovah’s Witness. Robert served as an elder in Destrehan, La., and later at the Blytheville Congregation until he died peacefully in sleep on Sept. 18, 2019, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro.

He united in marriage to Carealine Little Tuggle on Dec. 25, 2013, in Blytheville. Robert and Carealine met in pioneer school in Memphis, Tenn., July 2013. Robert served as a regular pioneer along with his wife Carealine in the Blytheville Congregation until his death.

Robert is survived by his wife, Carealine Armstrong; his son Jeffery (Bontesha); his grandchildren, Cartier Armstrong, Brandon Armstrong ,Venus Armstrong, Jeffery Armstrong, Johnathan Sanders Armstrong , Kendal Armstrong and Craig Walker, all of Chicago, Ill.; his stepchildren, Carilto Tuggle, Cartier’ Tuggle and Corleone Tuggle all of Memphis, Tenn.; his sister Katherine Hutchinson of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family, as well as his spiritual family of brothers and sisters who will miss very much.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, at 12 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 1305 E. Moultrie Drive, Blytheville, Ark. 72315.
