Bertha Whitehead

Bertha Whitehead, 88, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center.

Born to Will and Lettie Smith Baugus, Bertha was a retired factory worker and of the Church of God faith. She loved to walk and spent several hours each day walking and enjoying nature. After retirement, Bertha was dedicated to watching church programs on television and reading religious books.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Whitehead; her parents; one son, Marvin Wayne Whitehead; daughter-in-law, Myra Whitehead; three brothers, Willard, Pete and L.C. Baugus; and one sister, Lucille Morris.

Bertha leaves her three children, Glen Whitehead and his wife Judy of Blytheville, Tony Whitehead and his wife Margarita of Middleville, Michigan and Shirley Cole and her husband Jimmy of Cabot; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Linda Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
