Leachville paramedic reflects Ground Zero response

Leachville paramedic and registered nurse Charlotte Carmichael has answered many disaster calls over the last 30-plus years of service but Sept. 11, 2001, remains an experience she will never forget. She was and still is today part of a specialist team out of Little Rock. She is a member of the AR1 Disaster Medical Assistant Team (DMAT). In 2001 she was working for an ambulance service and with FEMA.
